Hi all.

I recently started listening to the audiobook of Finnegans Wake. I thought I would like it because I'm a 12 Oz. Mouse fan and I like things that are surreal and avant-garde ... but Finnegans Wake went too far ... even for me.

Can anyone here make any sense of this? This is like Timecube.

Think of it as a cultural segue from Shakespeare to psychoanalysis. I also think you need to imagine an Irish accent to bring out a lot of the puns, so I guess you found a decent audio version in that sense. At the same time, reading would allow you to go slow and more easily focus on the parts that makes sense initially.
