Hmm... I can't seem to find it on the site I usually check music on, but I'll have to take your word for it. if they were able to do a decent cover of that that did justice to it, bravo for them. I'll always think of Queen when I think of that song though. ((That and mountain dew. :wink:

What about "Weird" Al's Bohemian Polka?

Weird Al doesn't count as a cover. He's TRYING to make the song ridiculous. Weird Al stands alone and as far as I'm concerned can spoof pretty much any song, but he's not trying to make the song "better" musically, just "funny."

I agree about Weird Al not counting.

As I've said above, I don't hate all covers, it's just that there's too many of them and some are just pointless cash ins on the originals. If it's doing something different to the song, that's OK, but if someones just reviving it without any other reason than because of the fact they have none of their own talent themselves, then that sucks.

There are some artists that will cover a song, not do it differently, but the purpose is not to cash in. Sarah McLachlan did a cover of Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill" that was quite faithful to the original, but her reason for covering that song was because she really liked that song.

When I heard "Who wants to live forever" covered by Dune yesterday, I nearly got angry...I love this song, but the sound in the background is terrible! I think it should be sung only by Queen!

Yes, it does upset me, and when I search to download music, I can't tell what is the original version, and what is the ****ed up version. :evil:

Hearing Jessica Simpson's remake of "These Boots are Made for Walkin" was so awful it decreased my life expectancy by about a year. It barely resembles the original.
