I like reading Uncle Johns Bathroom reader because they have facts that seem pointless to other people & useful to me. I have 2 2' tall stacks of Uncle John's Bathroom Readers in my apartment. I haven't purchased any for a while. I definitely love the stats & facts in those books. They've been around since '88, I was introduced to them in 2003. I like the what I call useful information because I may sound like a "little Professor" at times. The reason they are called Bathroom Readers is so that u can have something to occupy urself in the bathroom.

I used to read those all the time. I haven't done that for a while. I've gotten stupider ever since then. I should probably get back to taking a dump with Bathroom Reader material in front of me. Thanks for the reminder. You have saved me from eternal ineptitude.

reading while reeking is not sanitary. tp is the only paper one should be handling at that time.

Ive seen those books. I once owned one, but I never really read it. I dont mind reading while reeking, as auntblabby put it, but I feel embarrised to own a book written just for the purpose of "entertainment whilst crapping".
However, I do enjoy the variety of topics that those books offer. I guess its kind of a guilt pleasure.

the book's intended reading timeframe finds me too busy with details of delivering the shipment and then completing the obligatory paperwork afterwards, but before or after the job the books are entertaining to read, to pass an otherwise dull morning or afternoon or evening before bed. 8)

The only one I ever saw (and read ;o) was in my brother's bathroom. I loved it!

I LOOOOOVE the "kids only" editions! I read them in my bedroom late at night! I wish they taught school the way Bathroom Readers are written!

By the way, there's nothing wrong with reading them in settings other than the bathroom.

Never heard of them but they sound interesting. I do almost always read in the bathroom too.

Yes. I read one at the hairdresser and she said I could take it home to keep. I'm into useless facts and information.

I would imagine all such bathroom books have got to be reservoirs of germs. :eew:
