Anyone else excited for it? I remember playing the first game many years ago, I think I picked it up alongside Brawl and was honestly more excited for it despite spending many months obsessing over the other. Since then Grasshopper has pretty much become my favorite developer. Not always perfect, but tend to have the most interesting ideas and stories and characters, especially music.
This particular game seems a bit divisive, unfortunately, probably caused by not enough info being spread until more recently about what it is exactly, coupled with some fans who may only like this IP and are not familiar with Grasshopper’s other works.
It’s $40 rather than the standard $60(or $30 for digital), which I feel almost kind of backfires and implies a smaller game. Definitely lower budget, but judging from recent trailers, the gameplay doesn’t suffer for it. It’s just different from the first two in that it can be co-op, and the perspective is changed to accommodate that aspect.
