For 2 days I've been in pure agony. I didn't sleep at all last night because my legs wouldn't stop aching. I dosed myself up with an antihistamine pill, and had cough syrup which has eased my cough, and I took some pain-killers, which got rid of the aching. But after a few hours the aching in my legs came back, and I was worried about taking more pain-killers because I've been taking different flu remedies all day and I didn't want to accidentally have an overdose.

So for 8 hours I have been up and down all night, not knowing where to put my legs. I was going to have a bath last night but I was too unwell to. It wouldn't be so bad if I could actually sleep and escape the pain, but my legs hurt so much I just can't keep them still. Sometimes I hate being a human and having to endure these illnesses.

Sucks to hear you caught the flu. :( Epsom salts in a hot bath or some CBD oil help with your pain. Make sure you follow the instructions for flu medicine as many contain paracetamol.

I'm going to see the doctor when I've recovered, to see why my immune system keeps on losing against these viruses. When you're keeping a healthy diet and eating all the recommended foods, and you wash your hands before eating, and you are still picking these viruses up then something must be wrong. Maybe the doctor can provide some sort of vitamin supplement, even though I eat foods that contain vitamins that ward off colds.

But I don't want a diet lecture here, saying "oh eat this, not that, avoid this, eat plenty of that" because whatever I eat (fruit, vegetables, meat, whole grains, water, etc) I still come down with these colds. Maybe I've got cancer. That's all I need. :(

Not telling you to change your diet (don't eat this or include more of that), just wanted to give a suggestion for maybe helping with your current flu. Tea with apple cider vinegar or lemon, along with honey. Remember to stay hydrated too.

It might not be cancer, maybe an autoimmune disease. I hope it's nothing as serious as either of those though. It could just be that your immune system isn't strong (without something causing it to be weak).

I hope you feel better soon!

I am recovering now, in other words the virus has gone, I'm now just left with the aftermath (gradually clearing sinuses and a small cough).

I keep worrying about cancer lately, because I keep hearing of healthy people going to the doctor for a minor ailment, and then getting diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and all of a sudden their busy and healthy lifestyle they were living has all turned upside down.

You stated in another thread that you bite your nails. No one washes their hands before they bite their nails which is the most likely vector for catching the flu, besides being trapped in a bus with sick people coughing.

I make my own echinacea tincture which boosts your immune system.
You can buy it in tablet or tincture form at most chemists and if you take it in the autumn it can help.

Glad to hear your better.
