I was curious if anybody here had ever completed, or considering, a thru-hike of any the major trails in the U.S. -- or elsewhere. This October, am am planning to complete a short one on the Benton MacKaye Trail, which shares the same terminus as the Appalachian Trail in Georgia, and ends in the Great Smoky Mountains. It's a little under 300 miles, and will take me roughly three weeks.

I'm hoping to tackle the AT in 2020.
