As a kid I was always thin but around average height for my age. My cousin was 2 years older than me and was also thin but obviously was always a bit taller than me because she was older. When I was around 7 or 8 years old my older brother gave us piggy-backs (look it up if you don't know what it is), and he always said that I was heavier than my cousin and that she was really light. But we were both thin (I wasn't big-built or anything).

Then when I was 21 me and my friend weighed ourselves. My friend was exactly the same build and height as me, but she weighed almost a whole stone lighter than me.

And the other night I laid on top of my boyfriend and he said that I'm so heavy, even though I'm not a big person, and I'm only 5"5 (don't know what that is in centimetres).

So is it possible to be heavy-boned without physically looking heavy-boned? Why are my bones so heavy?

My husband is extremely heavy boned. He had rickets in childhood and we suspect it's connected. He also easily gains muscle so he is always significantly heavier than he looks.
His heavy bones are visible if you know where to look. His knees are very large compared to knees of other men of similar size. Other places to look at are wrists, ribs and hip bone.

Could you have more muscle?

Muscle is more dense than fat, so it weighs more.
