I know this guy who was 6ft tall and weighed 210 pounds. Because of his excess weight after his heart attack he was told by doctors too get down too 168 pounds for his cardiovascular health.

I am 5ft7 3/4 so if I personally want my heart too be as healthy as possible I should aim too weigh 147 pounds which is the equivalent of 6ft and 168 lbs.?

If you're already at a healthy weight/BMI, you might not need to lose weight. Your health depends on many things, not just your weight. Also, you can be overweight but healthy if your weight is mostly muscle mass. So unless you really need to lose weight, you could just focus on eating healthy meals and exercising regularly, including cardiovascular exercise to strengthen your heart.

For your height, the optimal weight is different for different people

Bingo! There used to be a guy here with 5% body fat that complained about his health insurance rates going up because according to to his BMI he was "obese"

Jamesy, watch your body fat, particularly abdominal, weight in itself it's not necessarily the best indicator - some people have a lot of muscle mass and high bone density.
