That's part of the problem, I can't even get what you say is "the bottom". I've applied for wendy's, burger king, McDonald's, Arby's, Subway, Culvers, Taco Bell, Shopko, Wal Mart, Cousins subs, KFC, Pizza Hut, Little Ceaser's, Hardee's, Best Buy, Circuit City...well, you get the idea. Strangely enough, I've only been able to get an interview with McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and Circuit City, and when I was interviewed, I didn't even mention my AS (I wouldn't even think about mentioning it in the first place). Pizza Hut and Circuit City said to me
in person that they would call back and they didn't. Go figure.
Consider phoning them back, ask for the manager, and tell them who you are and ask if the job is still open and that you are interested. Companies really like this because it shows initiative on your part.
