In aikido, numerous instructors and customers have had the nerve to tell me to "relax". They act like they are so wise and innocent. Then they say "does that make sense ?".

How about  social anxiety disorder  . Everyone has a different number of pain receptors. Does that make sense to you, Rolando Morales penis?

Idiots expect you to believe whatever the f**k they tell you.

They won't believe what you tell them

Martial arts can be a fantastic skill to learn, for a variety of reasons. Age shouldn't dissuade you from getting back into the practice. I'm almost 40 and still practice most of my training. My parents are over 70 and they still practice as well. Over the years I've studied kenpo karate, tae kwon do, north american boxing, brazilian jiu jitsu, and kenjutsu - but my primary focus eventually became filipino and indonesian arts like pencak silat, kali, and kun-tao. It's helped, and continues to help, my concentration, coordination, confidence, spatial awareness, discipline, anxiety, and been good for my physical health as well. For me, doing stick-work or knife-work flow drills is almost meditative.

I’m adding stick fighting, bo and tonfa for my training. I plan on learning snake Kung fu and practice Shorin Ryu karate. Also kamas.

Asperger's or NT, for some ppl martial arts practice is not for everyone. These arts have existed and continue to be an effective means of self-defense for thousands of years. Discipline and the ability to ignore physical and mental pain are important elements regardless of the number of pain receptors.

Donald

That is correct

However sometimes, pain is the body's way of telling you that you are injured or that you need to stop doing something

While it is good to ignore some pain ("mind over matter"),

Martial arts are not for everyone, but many dojos are commercial. Giving lessons is the instructors only job skill and source of income. So many dojos market themselves as , for everyone. Or , "men, women, children". Whatever

Martial arts lessons are like McDonald's. Everyone that pays has a "right" to go.

Some people have more potential than others

But that is correct, in every skill, not just martial arts

Sometimes it is not worth the cost benefit analysis

Some taekwondo instructors take 5 year old children and advertise for day care. Martial arts is just a small part of the babysitting

Mcdojo

Many parents don't know (or care) if the dojo is mcdojo. They just want their children babysat.

Martial arts lessons $$$$, socially awkward, emotionally disturbing, dangerous, germs, whatever

Lil dipshits keep barking at me for not performing to their standards

Ass holes

Maybe you need to find another dojo to go to. It takes practice, time and patience to get better.

Thus far I have gone to 150 dojos

The current dojo is "As Good as it Gets"

No dojo.is perfect

Last year, my aikido instructor moved to a different state

So even if the dojo were perfect, it's just perfect at that time

It's been over eleven years of aikido

Granted I am better than I was eleven years ago

But not as good as precious lil "people" that took the same number of lessons as me

But that has nothing to do with the dojo

Although some dojos are better than others

150 Dojos you say. The lil "people" as you put it who took the same number of lessons as you did and are better than you are is because of what if not the Dojo? Perhaps it is time to find another hobby, yes?

I agree with Donald or maybe you should practice at home.

Outsider

At home there is nobody to practice with

No instructor

Not even a mat

Someone could have zero or many hobbies

It is not necessary to have one hobby

And I am not good at anything

But you don't have to be good at anything to do it

The lil dipshits in the dojo are annoying

For example, ozben had the nerve to bring an off leash dog and I was screaming and trembling. "(My name) are you ok?". "he just wants to say 'hi' ". (Leash Law ). Ozben acted like she was doing me a favor by putting her dog in the car.

That's like saying, the reason why she stopped at the red light was, because she saved your life and you need to treat her like a hero

But every social situation is like that

Manipulative arrogant judgmental entitled lil dipshits please do not "be true to yourself"
