I don't know if you experience this but I've noticed that a lot of guys with Aspergers have a lot of weight around their middle. They aren't fat or overweight but they can't seem to budge the fat around their waists. Does anyone elese have this and have you been able to shift this at all?
I have always had a problem maintaining enough weight. I've always suspected this was autism related. And now my Aspie daughter has the same problem and my non-aspie daughter does not. Anyway, a few years ago I started have a beer-belly issue. I do drink a little beer, but I don't think that was the only cause. In studying this problem, I found that it is nothing to ignore. More like the beginning of the end for some people. It is a symptom of metabolic syndrome which leads to serious health problems. For me cutting sugar to a very low level, drinking even less beer and limiting other refined carbs got the problem under control. Cutting back on the beer was done for other reasons too which would be the subject of a separate post.
