It can be noted that much content here in the 'Social Skills and Making Friends' Forum (and throughout WP) stem from attempts to put words to...............the unwritten rules on friendships; and stretching the 'English Language' beyond its limits in the process; which sometimes leads to further disillusion regarding the Autism Spectrum/HFA!
RELATED: On semantics, the term 'FRIENDS' are applied more often than the term 'FRIEND' - that is, the more 'FRIENDS' a person has, the greater the acceptance in social customs/expectations than a person who has one good 'FRIEND!' - Concerning the Autism Spectrum/HFA, make one good 'FRIEND' is a challenge.
Can it be said that subtle differences in semantics between the terms 'FRIENDS' & 'FRIEND' might adding yet more challenges for Autism Spectrum/HFA?
