I keep getting a recurring conjunctivitis mostly in my right eye but the left eye gets mildly affected. The doctor said it's conjunctivitis and gave me some eye drops to treat it. I've been using it and it helped make it go but now it has come back.

This is the first time in my life I have ever suffered conjunctivitis, and I don't often wear eye makeup and I've never used contact lenses.

It starts off by my right eyelid feeling itchy, which I very gently itch because I can't bear itching, and when I've been asleep my eyes feel all crusty and the eyelashes stick together. But it mostly feels sore on the skin underneath the eye. My vision is not affected, although sometimes my eye blurs after I blink but that's just the moist the eye keeps producing, it's not my actual vision. Sometimes my eye looks bloodshot but the problem still seems to be around the outside.

Could this be caused by stress, as I do have a lot of stress going on in my life at the moment?,

It could be that you are run down a bit. Yes, stress certainly makes things worse. How are things going anyway? I heard your husband needed a new job. I hope all is sorted?

Sometimes conjunctiveitis comes with other viruses. I mean.... In the past when I've had it, I have tended to have had a cold as well or something like that. So it could be that your body is fighting something off? Is just a guess.

Yes still not out of the woods yet with all the job stuff with my partner but I won't go into that.

My boyfriend has had a cold last week but I haven't caught it. I'd thought if I was run down I would catch every cold that's going about but I feel rather healthy and I'm sleeping well and eating all the right foods (fruits, vegetables, garlic, meat, nuts, etc).
