I've tried googling, but keep coming across a host of rather dubious sites .

If I recall correctly, kidney pain can sometimes be felt as pain on one side of the lower back, so that would be a yes. But I could be wrong, I'm not a doctor.

It's lower right back pain . The other day my stepdaughter came with me to help with grocery shopping . It's only about a 4 minute walk there from my flat, but half way there my lower back started to really ache . It can be accompanied by pelvic pain.

I am prone to mild-moderate dehydration .

It would help to better understand the type of pain. Dehydration can mean one or more of several disorders. I know that cramping can occur if that is the type of pain you are saying. Try googling the specific minerals and vitamins associated with dehydration. It could be a list of things such as sodium, magnesium, potassium, etc. Either high or low.

I 'm not very good at describing such things . Lower back I would say dull ,heavy pain , and pelvis more a jagged pain.

I get occasional cramp in my legs . Dehydration symptoms are dry mouth, headache, nausea and thirst.

What I saying is look at all the different vitamins and minerals. Dehydration can lead to a deficit or surplus of things like potassium and such.

I've never been told I have any mineral or vitamin deficiencies apart from folic acid . I take a 400 mg pill daily for the folic acid deficiency .

The vitamin deficiency is all I know to tell you as far as anything about dehydration. It shouldn't hurt to experiment with different foods like pretzels for sodium or bananas for potassium.

I have used lo-salt for many years, but very probably still have too much salt . To say I like salt on my food is to understate things . Bananas are an odd one . I like things that are banana flavoured, but not the mouth feel of an actual banana . I do like pretzels .

Yes!

A lot of things can cause back pain, and dehydration is one of them. I've had rhabdo twice, and aside from the dark brown pee, lower back and kidney pain were indicators
