I know I shouldn't but i'm excited that my partner has been given the all clear to come home next week.

He's been in a mental health room when he tried to end his life and it's been a dark time for us both but he has finally been given the green light to leave the unit and come home.

I'm trying to contain my excitement cause I been desperate for him to come back so we can be a couple but i'm worried that my excitement is going to overwhelm him.

Should I restrain my excitement to show it so he knows how much I want him back i'm even hoping that we can be cuddling each other in bed not sexual just cuddling

I can overwhelm folks with my emotions. When I have the presence of mind I ask my ASD-like daughter what reaction she would be comfortable with (big, little, medium) --- to my surprise sometimes she says "big!" in an exciting moment and lets me dote on her. If you have the ability, ask him --- if he says medium or little, then make sure you take another time to do big for you! You can do big here!!

Wishing you both healing and wellness.

I see him on Monday i'm really excited he comes out on tuesday provided all is ok which so far it is.

I will ask him what kind of reception he wants though he's already been calling work asking for work to be sent home ready for him.
