I can relate

We never had to teach my 8 year old to spell. He learned himself and is accurate 95% of the time.

I never knew about having autism till soo late in life.I always had trouble in lower schools my dad said that I was not trying hard enough which mite be so right but he never knew about my autism just though I was slow.

Why are you going back to a 9 year old thread to post this? Happy to discuss your history, it is sadly very common for ASD individuals to be misunderstood and undervalued, but this thread seems like a very odd place to start that conversation.
