I loved WOW, except for the social problems got a little out of hand when the structures of the guild I was in got too complicated.

Playing a druid on a pvp server is just asking for a headache :p

I've wanted to play again on a new server, but I get WAY to addicted to online games, so I don't play them anymore. I think at one point I was logging at least 80 hours a week, while in college >.<.

I don't really like MMO things because it's too social for me. I'll get random people coming up to me to talk and it just reminds me how much I suck at socializing. If I'm going to play a game I'd rather do it alone.

The girl in your avatar looks a bit like MMO girl from the series pure pwnage!

The only way I was able to get into MMOs was cause my RL friends were already into it so I had people to play with.
I'm thinking WoW is kind of dead to me though. I just don't play it any more. I might be going back to City of Heros/Villains though. :)

I was 'addicted' to EVE-online for about 5 months a while ago. I still drop in from time to time to reset my skills and do a mission or two. GREAT game, the graphics are great and the immersion feeling is strong, and it is all very technical and slow paced - which is awesome. Plus the short stories that are available that are themed to the EVE universe are really well written and add to the immersion feeling.

One thing that I couldn't get into was the PvP part of the game, I couldn't get myself to attack anyone or venture into the dangerous low security solar systems for long, where anyone can attack and destroy your ship and your pod (the pod is a capsule full of symbiotic fluid that suspends your body in weightlessness, while interlinking your mind through neurological implants to the controls of the ship, when your ship is destroyed the pod containing your body is left behind then can be destroyed if you don't escape fast enough). Overwhelming anxiety would keep me from PvP, :? :x , and the PvP aspect of EVE is supposed to be the best part of the game.

However I still had lots of fun role-playing and doing missions and exploration, of course just playing EVE without PvPing can get old.

I don't ever go on MMOs, they often require that you be online for long hours to compete with other players. I don't like being bound to computer games, and I also don't like having to pay monthly fees for anything online.

I hate MMORPGs for a number of reasons:

1. You have to pay regularly.

2. I'd be sucked in too much.

3. I'd have my arse kicked by big marks a lot.

4. I prefer to play alone, and in order to defeat big monsters, you need to fight within a group.
