How do you unwind to make yourself sleepy before bed? I hate going to bed to try to sleep, its so frustrating!

What I Always do is to not playing any videogames/Watch netflix etc at least 2 hours Before sleeping.
Since I have insomnia, I usually turn off my tv/putting my phone on vibration only at 20:00. Then I usually read
a manga, a book or as I recently have started to do, listening to audiobooks about a topic that interests me.

If I decide to relax before bed:
Read book.
Relaxing music. [Jazz, classical, drone music, pure frequency music]
Deep breathing.

If I can not sleep, which is usually, I surrender and stay awake for 48 hours then go into a deep sleep after 2 days being awake.

My usual routine goes like this:

2000 Listen to an old time radio program while I work a couple jigsaw puzzles (one is adult, makes it more interesting)
2040 or so Listen to oldies music while I work a crossword puzzle or two
2130 No sound while I play solitaire for 15-20 minutes
2150 Take my anti-depressant and read an actual ink-on-paper book
2230 Pee for last time and go to bed, usually dropping off within about 15 minutes

I'm so used to this routine that if I have to go somewhere in the evening, it upsets everything and I have a bad night.

If I'm having difficulty relaxing before bed I'll read fiction, write in my journal, or eat a healthy snack. As a last resort I will watch TV quietly or look up funny things on the internet. I avoid watching news, checking email/social media, and listening to loud music before bed.

I like calming light jazz, familiar songs from the 70's and 80's, particularly instrumentals.
I often play whatever song/s have been in my head over the previous days on my iPad, sometimes repeatedly.
I'm one of these people who always has some sort of music in my head, I'm never without it and can't turn it off.
Sometimes I'll let my mind wander and play something that isn't stuck there and replace the current song and drift off.

I used to watch naughty stuff before bed. I think a lot of people do it, but don't explicitly talk about it. I've given up that habit though. I can't help but do things that keep me excited and so I have a hard time relaxing. I want to keep doing stuff in the evening that I've heard would help.

-meditating
-writing down your thoughts
-writing a diary
but I just can't turn off the computer and do those things. Turning down the blue light is also a thing that is supposed to help since blue light emmissions blocks down your melatonin production which helps you fall asleep. Now that's of course a lot easier to do for me since I don't have to turn off my computer and just use nightmode.
