Why doesn't sneezing always relieve?

My sneezes are so hefty that I think they come out well over 100mph. You'd think that would get rid of any irritation and clear my airways but usually it doesn't. Sometimes after a sneeze I feel WORSE, like suddenly all blocked up and uncomfortable. Then I sneeze again even heftier but still no relief.

What is the point of a sneeze like that if it doesn't always clear my sinuses? :?

I know what you mean.

Sometimes big sneezes provide relief; other times, it doesn’t. It can be a pain in the butt.

Sinus or nasal inflammation/swelling in spite of supposedly ridding of trigger for said inflammation or irritation?

Which is different from being filled with otherwise drainables.


It's different in a sense one tries to compare decongestant from anti-inflammatory...
