Be careful!! Those Ice Storms are way more dangerous than snow. So many accidents on the roads and people just walking.
We lost power for three days from an Ice Storm in 1973, the same one that the movie
The Ice Storm was set in. The temperature went down to 37 degrees in our house and all the fish died. People's pipes froze and burst and people were stuck on trains for 10 hours.
Woodbury, Long Island, New York December 17, 1973

The last time we lost power was over the summer from Tropical Storm Isaias.
