I was outside smoking at my mom's and a cat passed by. Then it started to climb a tree and I got really excited because it started to climb a tree and I ran up to it. I pet it a little and its fur was soft and I felt its tail which felt rough and ratlike.

I was excited and proud of myself for touching the possum.

My mom wasn't.

I also encountered deer before in Redding as well as tree frogs and even a rattlesnake.

Anyone experience any other wild animals?

A mother had been cleaning up after her children in a village not too far away from me. They (Or he or she. I assume there was kore then one child) had left their toys in the garden so she picked them up and carried them up to their bedroom and put them in the cupboard where they belong. She mentioned she had carried one of the childrens toy snakes.
The children were puzzled as they dis jot have toy snakes. She had carried a viper up and put it into the kids toybox! The poor thing! She was lucky as they are Britains only native venemous snake and they are also Britains only snake which does not take to being tamed. They can tame the other two native snakes but not the viper (We call them adder) as when they have tried they either pine and die or they go buzzerk and attack. They just do not do well in a captivity situation. They love to be wild and free. So toy cupboards are not the ideal enviroment for them!
