I was training and was abit behind, it still came has a shock and got a call as they sent a message to them to end me. My plans are now out of the window because of this. The hours were ridiculous but I needed the work. I'm creative but cant get a job in that. Now what can I do? I dont know what else my skills are and bad experiences through jobs always happen to me. I'm not getting any younger, its not fair and im losing hope. Really the story of my life, its hard for me here as it is. So sick of it.

First of all smile and think to yourself "Ok. They may not want me. I will find someone who will really love what I can offer them!"

You see, sometimes closed doors mean ew doors may open elsewhere which will offer you far greater opportunities then you thought possible!

So just think of this as a stepping stone of experience.

I was thinking of a TV commedy programme called "Last Of The Summer Wine" and one of their early ephisodes called "The Changing Face Of Rural Blaimire". It was about a company called "Shinyglow!"

I wonder what their employee turnover is?
How long does the average employee stay?

Perhaps it is a place that most people just work at until they can get a job that they REALLY want.

Don't give up - that's the biggest mistake you will ever make. Apply for more jobs and ask people for advice about how to get a job. Good luck.

Unfortunately just like many others, just have to either find another job (which is hard in this day and age) or consider doing further training in field of interest.

Did you disclose you have a disability? Sometimes, it could help them make it easier to train you or it just wouldn't be worth it, especially in a particular industry and felt it wouldn't be a right fit for you.

On the plus side, if you were to get the job, would you have been able to cope through it? Ended up enduring being a waiter for a lot of my working life until finally decided to pack it in and do something else.

My only advice for you is to stay positive and remain optimistic (as easy it is to say but to do is a different thing).

Sorry to hear, honey. That’s a blow! You mention you’re creative. Have you considered working from home? I know of a few of us who have set up totally new businesses from home, and it’s amazing how successful some of them have become. This includes things like photography(for businesses to promote their work on websites etc), selling their artwork online, selling their creations on Etsy etc.

Being your own boss involves research and hard work, but if you’re committed to making it work, and it becomes a passion, it can be bery worthwhile. Otherwise, returning to studies and doing a course with pathways into a range of professions depending on your interests.

There are quite a few exciting options out there. Hope you can find inspiration to pursue a job in something that makes you feel glad to be alive, and that may mean a totally new approach. All the best.

What sort of job was it?

Was it "customer service?"

Unfortunately lots of very hard non-disabled workers here in the US have been stuck in dead-end minimum-wage jobs since the stock-market crash & the recession that started after the millennium hit. Some are doing skilled manual labor jobs but with the high unemployment rate, lots of companies & employers have LOTS of applicants to chose from. It is definitely an employers market NOT a job seekers market. I have various disabilities & I struggled majorly to find the 3 jobs I did have which were federal minimum-wage jobs. I was applying for most any job I thought I might could do & get to & I was very lucky to even get an interview anywhere. Employers figure that if noone else took a chance on you then why should they. Employers think that if you are not already currently employed somewhere else when you apply to them, then something must be wrong with you. It sux but that's the way it is. Voc-Rehab just wasted my time. I needed something to give me an edge & help me get my foot in the door for an employer to seriously consider me but voc-rehab would not do that & just kept telling me to keep asserting myself which I already was doing on my own. I woulda been willing to work free for a month if an employer would of been willing to seriously consider me like if I woulda worked nonstop while I was there & woulda performed my job well. Very luckily I'm on disability & was on SSI before that but Social Security will be broke soon due to the economy being in the toilet even more than it was due to the pandemic that hit us VERY HARD & Trump sabotaging the Social Security program. I'm not sure what I will do 1ce Social Security runs out of money so I figure I should try & enjoy my life while I can before I'm homeless on the street or rotting in prison cuz I turned to crime due to no other options than death.
