Today I learned a new cold weather difficulty for cane users.
I discovered that in 15F, -9.4C, winter weather the apparently friction fit grips on 2 different canes I have become loose, dangerously loose, after less time outside than it takes to brush snow off the car’s side windows; but, when the canes are brought inside and warmed up enough to use some kind of glue on the grips they are back to a friction fit so tight the grip cannot be moved so as to apply any glue.

Didn't know such a thing existed!
Cool.
:D
However ...
it leaves unsolved the issue of the cane shaft rotating inside the too-loose grip.
That sound has to be useful for sound effects for something.

That’s sort of comparable to chalk on a blackboard! :o Is it possible to place a lining of terry towelling or some kind of velcro modification on the interior?

It sure is cold there. It was -16.7 in the Scottish Highlands last night(coldest temps in a decade) and -7C here in Surrey tonight with snow. There are warnings here not to travel(even for groceries) tomorrow as conditions have turned dangerous.

Oh my, that's some serious stuff!
Hmm, will be interesting to see what the narrowboaters I follow on YouTube eventually post about the storm.
