I have two set up at the moment, both Roomba i3+ self-dumping model. Not bad, but then again my place is relatively clean. 2nd floor is hardwood, 3rd floor is all carpet. I run them twice a week on a schedule. Navigation is better than earlier models and it gives you a map of the area it cleaned in the app after it completes the job. It does send notifications regarding it's status.
Needs an iOS device to associate them your iRobot account, then you can control it using an Android device.
Overall it's not perfect. Buy it with a steep discount during holidays so you won't have regrets.
I also have an old Roomba model 595 that I will eventually use on the 1st floor, my smallest area. That one doesn't have Wi-Fi and has the old chaotic style of navigation, but does have a schedule. It is not self-dumping though.
