I seem to feel as though I haven't achieved all the milestones in life and I am thinking maybe I am a late bloomer, and feeling like I am the only one even I know its not true.

0 - I was born the same number as everyone else

5 - I Started school the same age as this, as other people

10 - I was still at school as other people at that age

15 - I did exams at school and get work experience like everyone else that age

16 - I didn't leave school like many other people did, I left sixth form at 18 and went on to college than to university

17-18 - I didn't drive a car, had some manuel lessons at 21 which didn't work out, had automatic lessons from 24 until I passed at 28.

20 - I was still at college in my final year doing a BTEC Diploma in Art and Design and didn't have a job as well.

21-22 - I started university than someone who usually graduates from university at 22 or 23

25 - I was still unemployed when someone becomes a full-fledged working person at that age and didn't get my first paid job until I was 26.

30 - I had been working for four years in the same job and I was starting to feel like I'm a fully-fledged working person at that age than someone at 25 but I hadn't left the house and hadn't had a relationship and got married and started a family like other people have done between 25 and 30.

Perhaps the answer to that question is that that question needs to be rephrased;
from;
Are Milestones Irrelevant Now?
to
Has comparing myself to a segment of the population who are not like me ever been relevant?

I think that "milestones" are a rigid schema or framework that someone else superimposes over others in expectation for others to conform and compete with themselves.

For what purpose does one wish to use such schema's.
To compete with others?
To evaluate ones own progress in comparison to others?

What purpose does this serve?

Compete only with one self.
That is the way to make true progress.
To compete without competing.

To win without winning, this is the way to never lose.
Make progress with your self development.

Not all are born equal neither in circumstance nor attributes.
Realise your potential is the ultimate goal or perhaps
learn to be content regardless as to what mile stones you achieve...

to be happy even while others around us are doing all they can to
make us unhappy

that would surely make us more successful in terms of what you experience than
even all the kings in the world
