How do people feel about the Blue Brain Project which hopes to simulate all the neurons quadrillion numbers of connections?

I think this is nuts when we don't understand the basic biochemistry of the brain.

If all you know about how a computer operates is the chemical composition of its integrated circuits, then you will not know very much about them.  Same for brain function -- knowing how the system operates is as important as knowing what it is made of.
