I miss improv comedy. My favourite game was called 'Party Quirks'. It requires one person to host a fake party, typically around three fake guests and an audience. The guests each have a secret 'quirk', such as being a car salesman that's trying to sneakily convince the host to buy a new car yet denies they are a salesman. Or they're secretly a time traveller who's crashing the party to stop (insert event) from happening. The host goes to another room whilst the audience assigns quirks to the guests, once the quirks are decided upon - the host is summoned into the room.

Once this happens, the scene begins and the host has to interact with the guests, asking questions and interacting with the characters to figure out what the quirk is and whilst staying in character (ideally) they have to work their guess into the dialogue with the other character ("You're the third time traveller I've had this week! I take it you're here to stop me from buying that new car?"). If you're close, the audience will react accordingly, or groan in exasperation if you're way off. When a quirk has been correctly identified, the actor joins the audience and the scene continues until either someone calls it (by exclaiming "Scene!") or you guess all quirks correctly. The former typically happens if you're overrunning and not getting anywhere with it.

Performing in front of an audience was a little daunting at first, but once I got the hang of it, things were pretty fun. It was rewarding when a joke hit, but it was a bit embarrassing with it didn't land. One of my favourite moments is when my quirk was that I was the old lady who lived in a shoe (from the nursery rhyme). I had to subtly hint to the host who I was, since he was struggling to guess, so I said "You know what the best part of my home is? It has plenty of soul (sole)". He just looked at me absolutely bewildered and the audience (the rest of the improv group) burst out laughing. :lmao:

I kinda miss drawing and painting. I used to take art course up to age 20. Part of my life was even spent preparing for the exam for the Fine arts faculty at college but i chickened out

I also collected first day covers and coins as well, I hope the silver fish haven't got into them.

Are we talking post-pandemic specifically, or just in general?

Pandemic-specific, I miss playing local rock shows, or just getting together and jamming. Our singer/guitarist wants to get something going again, but our drummer isn't comfortable with any of that yet.

I also miss Dungeons & Dragons. My friends were doing virtual games for a good while, but cancelled it all when they started doing in-person games for a few weeks.
Well, one friend went back to college, so they cancelled the in-person stuff too.

Non-pandemic-specific, I have a toddler to take care of all day, so I have a LOT less time for hobbies.

This one I miss a lot, and it's probably not helping my Long Covid any...I spend a couple hours each night just trying to have "me time", and end up going to bed around 11 or midnight...then the kid wakes me up at 4-something AM =|

No silver fish as far as I am aware. Coins. Yes. Another similar hobby.
