This is sounding much like the prediction for the end of the world revolving around a pizza world.And the face of Gawd . And this entire situation involving flying pizzas now precludes the necessity for Velcro of any kind.
Which would be obviously helpful to any inhabitants of flying pizzas. ! :roll:

If earth were covered by velcro you wouldnt be able to move around laterally across the surface of the earth. But obviously travel across the earth's surface happens easily all of the time.

But there are serious implications, both scientific, and theological, about this "accelerating pizza" theory. Implications about the end of the earth itself.

I could bring in the Pope, and Neil Degrasse Tyson, to discuss it.

But here are three better experts.

Wrong.

Earth is a cylinder. You can clearly see it on all those wall maps in the Mercator Projection. The surface of the known world really is that shape, wrapping round at the left and right edges like a rolled up sheet of paper. The real mystery is what's on the huge flat discs at the north and south ends? They don't want us to know.

This was a really neat video I saw a while back.

Main thrust of the idea - spacetime is funneling toward the core of the earth from all directions thus in a manner of speaking, just by holding still, the surface is thrusting upward against that current - hence being on any spot on the planet (some exceptions perhaps if your on a boat in the Hudson Bay) you're experiencing the same kind of drag that you'd experience accelerating in a sports car, 1 G of it give or take a smidge for altitude.
