Yesterday, I got together with some friends and had a good time and among them was a 27 year old autistic woman who is very immature and hyper. When she got silly, her behavior reflected someone who is 6. When observing her behavior, I was pretty hyper and immature during my 20's and the first part of my 30's, which eventually tapered off. That said, I will admit that I did things that embarrassed and turned other people off.
Yes, I am hyper and while I found some of her behavior to be pretty funny, I have learned to control myself and not sink to her level. Some examples:
1. When she were at the movie theater, she was made a lot of jokes about her candy being animal droppings.
2. Then after the movie, she was jumping all over the parking lot making noises like "Wee, woo," and imitating Mickey mouse.
3. A few hours before, she was making a plushie of hers growl, which I never see most nerds do at conventions unless they are in cosplay
Meanwhile, I laughed some but I was calm. That said, I would have done stuff like that at 27. That said, if I get that silly, I have learned to do those things when no one is around because being hyper is who I am.
