Which one do you prefer? I go for DC, all the way. I mean, who else has someone like Superman and Batman? Who's with me?

No contest, its Marvel all the way.

Batman is Ok but Superman is just boring. Most DC characters are pretty two dimensional.

Not so Spiderman, Dr Strange, X Men, Fantastic Four.

Both have their strengths and weaknesses, I'm glad to have both. They define each other.

You mean Dark Horse or Vertigo!

When I was a kid I was Marvel all the way. Spider-Man, G.I. Joe, What If?, Daredevil. ... There's not much difference between one set of costumed freaks and another, really. As I grew up I got sucked into the Image hype. The same tired garbage, just shiny! and more expensive. When I acquired some sophistication I realized DC's Vertigo was where the real s**t was at.

Marvel for an admittedly shallow reason: I love Transformers, the comic for which was published by Marvel until 1994. When I collected them, I just got more used to seeing their superheroes in the ads, and I still feel like I "get" the Marvel universe more than DC.

Maybe it's because I also collected some of the 80's guest-star-of-the-week titles like Dazzler and Power Pack, but the Marvel universe always seemed to have an easy-going feel of community. Whenever I'd read any post-crisis DC book, there was just something stiff and unpleasant about it.

DC has consistently put out better cartoons though. Even the best X-men cartoons can't hold a candle to the Bruce Timm universe ("Batman the Animated Series" through "Justice League Unlimited"), or "Teen Titans". "The Batman" sucks though. Haven't seen "League of SuperHeroes" yet.

I haven't read any of the comics. I'm more familiar with the adaptations, like the DCAU and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
