I seem to think that the term late bloomer implies that it is ‘’abnormal’’ for someone to find a purpose or career to his or her life after 30 when it feels like an individual must be something or have a career and so on before they are 30.

It is unusual because most people would want to work and make money from 18-30 or 23-30 if they went to college.

The only people I can think of who wouldnt want that are stay at home parents.

Most people have "jobs" when they are 30 or below; but not many have a "career" yet.

I'm 61; I never intended to have a "career" as a data entry operator-----but I have lasted 41 years at the place where I work at now. A "clerical career," I suppose.
