Finding those not obsessed with sex, power and popularity?

Is it satisfying for you?
I've observed that most people value their connections to other people more than almost anything. I have typically valued my own capabilities more than I value connections to other people and I tend to live in my own little world. When I learn how to do something new or how to apply past skills to accomplish something new, it is very satisfying.
While I've known that I am very different from other people for most of my life, I've only began to realize how isolating my life must seem to an outside observer over that past few months. This is part of the reason that I've decided to get a proper diagnosis as to whether or not I have autism.
