As a matter of fact, I belong to a grassroots organization that sends its member upcoming legisration and bullet points on it so its easy to understand and draft letters.

What organization is this? I have yet to find a simple and unbiased source of info on such things. Is it only in your state or is it nationwide?

It is good to get involved with your country's politics by writing letters to the people who are supposed to represent you, but often fail to do so.

I am a member of the Liberal Democrats (UK) and I am going to write a letter to the party leader, Charles Kennedy, soon to explain my disappointment that he will ditch the party's main pledge to introduce a new 50% taxation band for the rich. I believe the rich should pay for their wealth, and I shall ask him politely why he has abandoned the plans, which were widely supported by the general public.

Um, we didn't steal any oil, so this isn't a war for oil. And I didn't say that Sadam had any long range weapons. He wasn't the terrorist, he was our target to focus our enemy's concentration on a location outside of the US.

And, I'm not arguing about the uselessness of our Homeland Security. If it had been a large-scale terrorist attack, our responce would have been equally pathetic.

FYI . . . I'm NOT a Bush supporter. I just hate when people use the catch-phrase "War for Oil" when that is so far from the truth.

I always read the wrong things. Maybe not everyone calls it theft, but.....
Maybe this link will give an alternative viewpoint.
