Why is that due date calculators have years that hasn’t happened yet. What might be the reason?

What exactly is a due date on a calculator? "Due date" sounds like the date when a pregnant woman is supposed to have her baby. :)

Very simple. Because the pregnancies haven't happened yet. They probably have due dates, say, in 2025. Is there actually a baby who will be due to be born in 2025?

Families use the calculators to plan ahead for subsequent pregnancies, especially now that some birth control lasts for a year or more (injections, IUDs).

Calculators are also needed in assisted reproduction because the couple / single parent normally needs a lengthy protocol of hormonal treatments which can last a year or more. Appointments and treatments with fertility clinics and specialists are made months (if not sometimes over a year) ahead of time.

So. Why would someone have a baby in 2025, anyway?

Probably the same reason someone would have a baby in 2022, or 2006, 1983, or 1968.

There are kids born every year for various reasons so I predict 2025 will be like that.
