First I will say: this worked for me. My theory: Dogs eat poop and are attracted to it because there is some nutrient in the poop they are lacking in their diet. The solution I found was a daily doggy vitamin. I've given my dog a daily vitamin for 3 or 4 months and realized today that its been many weeks since I've seen him eat poop. (He used to love to eat rabbit droppings)

Correlation does not imply causation.

Is the vitamin poop flavoured by any chance?

Cravings = Nutrient deficiency theory has been disproven. Dogs eat poop for a host of reasons, but if itw working for your dog, that's great.

That theory might be true in some cases but there's plenty where it's not. For example lots of kids & people in general have strong cravings for sugar & junk food but there's LOTS of studies about sugary snaks & junk food being unhealthy & causing obesity. At the same time plenty of people don't like eating many vegetables even thou vegetables are healthy.
