100% nope. I am not a male (this reason can either be obvious and depressing or obscure and insulting),culturally connected to any religions besides Judaism, and I'm not interested in devoting my life to any religion other people created. call it egomanaism

Tentatively titled Man of God. :) (It's an ironic title as he loses his faith.)

No, never. I'm religious (Protestant Christian) but that life wouldn't be okay for me. I want my own space, my own freedom and my own routines.

I'd like to stay in a religious place (Christian only) for a few months to pray, study theology and be closer to God, though, some kind of "soul purification".

I'm a Jain so I do admire our monks (Digamber and Swetamber) because of the incredible sacrifices they have made. We Jain laypeople do learn from their example though and that helps to guide us, if you will.

I'm 3/4 of the way through the book "The Brewmaster's Table" which is about pairing beer and food. It's also got a LOT of info about the history of beer. The long and the short of it is that pretty well every single Monastery has brewed beer - and some of them are quite amazing beers. Getting involved in this aspect of a Monk's life would be one of the most appealing parts of their lifestyle, IMO.

Even before self-diagnosis, I used to think that I was born centuries too late, and could have been quite happy copying manuscripts on the isle of Iona.

I did it for several years, watching a fast-growing organization that wanted to spread peace with free meditation lessons turn into a stagnant religion. There was a lot more work than contemplation, and not enough sleep to stay alert for meditation. Presumably, the alert meditators didn't need as much sleep, and they set the schedule.
I started to see why we were not attracting new members when we went out after our usual bedtime to put up posters, and I was surprised to see so many other people around. Seeing cigarettes for sale was also starting to look gross.
