It was just easier.

This is brilliant.

I've learned to say it. Sometimes I do forget to ask follow up questions for a few seconds until I remember.

I greet everyone at work w/ "hello" or "good morning/afternoon", but sometimes I think I accidentally do it at inappropriate times because once in awhile someone seems annoyed. I don't ask a lot of follow up questions besides for asking a couple select, very friendly people how they are doing. I find it hard to "script" for any other interaction, but I am slowly picking up things other people do and using them to interact better.

My coworkers have literally playfully teased me about how I say "hi" or "have a good day" to everybody lol Even multiple times for the same person

Same. LMAO I am so glad someone else does this because most of my coworkers are caught off guard when I first do it to them. I don't think a lot of them have teased me, but I guess a lot of people mention it to my aunt or other people.

I literally have to greet or say goodbye to EVERYONE that I see, it's like a compulsion. I feel rude if I don't.

Is forgetting words part of Aspergers/Autism? I didn’t know. I used to be very bad at saying ‘thank you’ I taught myself to say ‘thank you’ but I’m worse at saying ‘you welcome’ now it’s easy to say thank you.
