What happens when you do meet an acquaintance there? Do you stick around and drink?

Maybe they've decided you're unlikely to spend money there and would prefer you to stop what you do there instead.

I figured they be fairly similar. Point I was trying to make, that there ARE avenues our OP could take, should they feel they are truly being unreasonably discriminated against.
