When did music start to suck?

Seems like to me its a failure of the music industry to be able to collect, nurture, invest in and develop talent and recognise what music to distribute to the listener. And what little cream that does reach the top is vandalised with horrendous mastering practices. Its a travesty what the last 25 years have been like. In my opinion the DIY scene can only achieve so much in quality and reach without proper financial backing and the best studios and production. I want artists with a WOW factor, someone who will appear and change music forever like they used to!

When capitalism started flooding the world with crap, just to leach a little more "value" off an already sucked dry husk of what was once known as "music"
