It's frankly annoying. Of course I want to hang out with my friend, but wow the others are just dull beyond belief. Have you ever sat with a group and wanted to walk off without saying a word? Always a pity when you overhear a group of strangers and think 'their conversation sounds a lot more interesting than this one. I wish I could just ditch and join that conversation'.

I dunno. I'm bored.

Honestly, if they're that boring and your friend is hanging with them, I wouldn't have much optimism for things working out. That being said, many NTs do have multiple sets of friends and you might be able to do something that is more of interest to you and meet them.

It happens and it sounds like you just aren't going to click with their friends. My boyfriend has told me that he doesn't want to associate with a lot of my friends because he feels bored with them too. He also can't really connect with them because he feels like their conversations are kind of immature.
