I remember when I was two I had a dream that I was watching myself as an infant sleeping, In the dream I had a music box that was a sheep carousel by my bed. It had a ram and two lambs and played the song "Love makes the world go Round" When I was three I remember my mom pulling the sheep carousel out of the closet IRL and it really freaked me out because I thought for sure it was something from my dream. This still haunts me to this very day.

When played my first video game, ironically being Mario on the original NES, upscaled to a 42 inch flatscreen tv in 2005 (my family was rich at the time). I also tried playing duck hunt with the same setup but since it wasn’t a crt it didn’t work

The huge fight between my parents on the day of them breaking up and my dad getting kicked out. I remember really key stuff like where I was sitting in the house, the blue color of the little tractor I was playing with; what the floor, sofa and shelves looked like; the sound of doors slamming loudly and my parents shouting at one another. I was about 4 years old. Good times. :skull:

My brother going to Disneyland

I remember crying because I was too young at the time to go but finally went there as an adult last year!

I remember my first birthday, but I'm unsure if that's something I remember, or if it's a reconstructed memory based on the photos in my mom's album.

I feel like I remember my first word, but not sure if I just remember it because my mom told me about it. She said I at one point saw a cat outside and said 'kitty' and that is the first word she remembers me saying. But yeah maybe I actually remember it or I created a memory of it to match up with what my mom said. I do remember seeing the cat but don't remember anything else about it.

My earliest memory is being accidentally separated from my parents in a crowded place at about age 4. I ran screaming. A security guard found me and my mom found me soon afterwards.

Even though it was accidental, that childhood trauma may have started my abandonment issues, which were later exacerbated by other events, like my parents divorce.

yup about 5 yrs of age got left behind at a RR park / museum. During a birthday celebration , i did not understand feelings of abandonment ....When i realised what happened .. was inconsolable. park staff finally realised what happened and had not yet memorised my home phone number, etc. But the staff figured it out after a while .
And hours later my mom showed up . Greatly annoyed and i felt very guilty for getting lost . Seems later in life .. Many sorts of abandonment seemed to be normal part of life . Best I could do was be prepared.
Never quite got over that one. Kinda changed my perseption of family since then .

I love reading these early memories.

I'm always trying to pinpoint from when my memories occurred.

I use to think my earliest memory was watching The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show, but recently I've determined that watching Son of Chiller was my earliest memory. I remember snippets of a few shows. One was Son of Frankenstein. Another memory was before a commercial break when the horror host appeared saying she heard a noise in the back yard, and she was going to check it out. It was mysterious and scary. The horror host was Penny Dreadful and Son of Chiller was on 1962-1963. I'm trying to find out more information about the show. So I was about three years old. So far, I know it was on Saturday nights at 6:30.

Most of my early memories are of television shows. Get Smart, Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, and as mentioned, The Beatles in 1964. Those are a few. I remember when I actually noticed the doors opening and closing for Get Smart. It wasn't the humor I remember. I remember being fascinated with the doors.

Other memories, I cannot point to a specific year, only where the family lived.
