Hi friends, I'm new here, a Brazilian autistic. I moved into an apartment with my mother that has poor soundproofing. We put in acoustic windows, which served surprisingly well. But even so, I am very sensitive to sound vibrations through the floor and walls, so, contrary to what I expected, the acoustic window alone was not enough. I hear neighbors talking, slamming doors, dropping objects on the floor. For most people, this is not a problem, but for me, who is autistic and has problems with hearing sensitivity, it is very uncomfortable and desperate. So I've been researching solutions such as floors, windows and acoustic ceilings. But I'm doing badly. And I need help.
Rockwool insulation is the way? Many searches led me to this answer but I live in a tropical country that is very hot for 8 months of the year and I am afraid of suffocating in the room.
Floating floor is a good idea to make me not feel the sound vibrations from neighbors who live below?
And that. To start the topic, in my opinion, if you can, install double or triple windows to isolate sounds from outside your apartment. As for the sounds of neighbors around you, well that's why I created this topic. I hope to come up with a good answer that will help me.
