When you email someone socially, how long do they usually take to answer?

How long is the longest amount of time it has taken someone to answer your social email?

How long do you think is too long to answer an email, two weeks?

I don't know anyone that still uses e-mail socially anymore. Everyone I have any kind of social contact with either sends a text or some sort of direct message on various social media platforms.

As to the speed of a reply? It varies. Some people expect a fairly rapid response and respond in kind, some may take a few days.

I don't think most people send messages lengthy enough to warrant an-email. Even my older relatives prefer facetime or Zoom etc. for any lengthy conversations.

I use email socially. I usually reply within an hour or at the very least the same day. When someone doesn't reply the same day on my emails I start to think that maybe they got irritated by something I wrote.
