I was always confused if emotional instability is associated with being on the spectrum? I am far from perfect and am just a regular guy, but consider myself very intelligent in a lot of areas. I just get confused when it comes to so called ''Relationships'' I don't do so well, a female friend called me ''immature'' or ''unstable'' can it be Aspergers mixed with small PTSD traces from my life? mostly anything social or relationships I get angry and upset easy

EUPD (emotionally unstable personality disorder) is often co-morbid with autism. Also known as borderline personality disorder. You should look it up online just to rule that out.

Aside from that, autistic people often have turbulent emotions. Some autistic folk bottle them up and others act out. it really depends on the individual.

in private I am quick to cry uncontrollably, can't catch my breath, letting out small cries of emotional pain, everything I have been through flashes through my mind as well, I hold my dog to calm down, it scares me to be honest because at 37 emotionally I feel behind at times or sort of ''paralyzed'' mentally, feeling relationships and the world we are in very deeply

You may just be a very sensitive person who doesn't have mental illness.

It is good that you have your dog to calm you down. :)

Factors, personality. I think we are most susceptible to "instability" - especially the sensitive, high-processing, expressive types. My ASD BFF appears emotional stable b/c she tightly controls (limits) her life, but even she is subject to an outburst on rare occasion. EMDR helped me sone with built up PTSD. Massage and Rolfing are nice for my nervous system. I'm still trying to find a micro-dose medicine to take the edge off.
