My dad has a mixed relationship with Sonic, but my mom hates him, I sometimes think that parents will hate Sonic in the future, because mine say that he doesn't teach anything, that sometimes they compare Sonic to badabun (Mexican channel), saying positive things about badabun and saying negative things about sonic. What do you think about it?
I would like to know your opinion.

Considering Sonic the Hedgehog was a early nineties phenomenon, your parents might not necessarily have been at the age where they would have had a chance to play Sonic the Hedgehog, particularly if they are of a certain age or have never played video games. In that scenario, Sonic the Hedgehog would hold no importance to them.

But that doesn't mean he is bad as a character in the video games. Sonic the Hedgehog has a sizeable following & fan base.

Sonic the Hedgehog was released shortly after my 1st birthday. My mom has no real opinion and my dad thought it was a silly kid's game before he died.

I don't think Sonic teaches anything other than how a good franchise can be torn apart based on graphics and other things. The game itself is just fun. Not all forms of media, in my opinion, have to be meaningful. Can't we just enjoy stuff as is?

With that said, quotes like "you're too slow" are common in my household along with "charge me so I move faster."

My parents have had no real opinion on Sonic or video game characters in general, although my mom enjoyed playing Sega All Stars Racing on Xbox with me.

My mom really into into Bejeweled and other puzzle games on the computer.

The only thing I have to go on was back when I was a kid, I saw the Sonic OVA movie on VHS and my mother didn't want me to have it, but I ended up getting her to buy it for me anyway. She might have had some aversion to the character even she bought our old Sega Genesis many years earlier that came with Sonic 2.

I don't even know about Sonic.
My mother certainly wouldn't.

I’m a mom. I like Sonic, but I prefer Mario, so does my 12 year old son.

I'm not sure that my dad ever played any Sonic games...I actually can't recall him ever playing the Genesis at all.
We had Arnold Palmer Golf and that one boxing game, but I don't remember seeing him ever playing. Hard to say.
If he did ever play Sonic, he must not've cared for it that much.

I do remember him playing our aunt's Sega Saturn, though. There was a billiards game he played a lot, and a couple racing games with the steering wheel.
