Nope.

Lots of virii do nothing (that we know of). This is not news.

And the Wikipedia link does not work, either.

Interesting.
Either an artifact of experimental methods or potentially new insight into origins of life.
More research needed.

A lot of questions - how do they get energy? What is their life cycle? What is their role in human organism? Do they only infect other organisms or do they live in other environments?

A nice new object to study.
