Mine was good at the doctor yesterday. It was that machine that tests it every couple of minutes for 15 minutes total, and calculates an average. I don't remember the final but I think it was 140/something, and that was with repeated squeezings.

My blood pressure tends to be at the higher end of normal. For example it might read:

123/83 (systolic/diastolic).

I went through a period of stress at work several years ago and my blood pressure was reaching an average of 145/95 and I had to have ambulatory blood pressure monitoring at one point.

I have never been on meds for BP though.

I'm only on two BP meds now, and I don't even take them every day.
Sometimes when I take them it makes my BP too low.
I have to just gauge how I'm feeling (vertigo, etc.)

What is remarkable for me is that my blood pressure is almost perfectly normal, despite me being a technically obese weight (not morbidly obese or anything, but still....).

Those readings don't seem particularly high to me. My GP tells me that anything around 80 diastolic is a good result, and 123 systolic is something I'd kill for (figuratively speaking).

120/80 is normal.

145/95 would be stage I hypertension.

Yeah, my doctor doesn't worry about 140's either.

I have a home monitor too, but I rarely use it, since my blood pressure seems to be regularly normal, currently.
