Possibly, and unless there's information from a different thread that's relevant, I didn't see any indication that the OP wasn't doing anything.

He's broke. And lazy. And he has a 150 IQ, higher than 9996 out of 10,000 people.

You've already said that. I don't see anything in this thread to suggest that it's laziness. Most Americans are broke. Are most Americans lazy? Or is there something else going on?

son reached out to "head hunters" found one he could work with, and kept his education updated, keeps an eye on current trends.
He got a 6 figure job with better working conditions and is now head of a team of computer security for a huge international company.
Write down your earning and working condition goals, what job and position you want, location, etc. Are you willing to move/relocate to get the job you want ??? Research salary range for the jobs you want to do.

identify companies you might want to work for and interview other employees from within if you can.
( to learn more about what working conditions and company morale, etc are like)
keep working on your education and skills, Be willing to take classes and obtain other certifications once you get that job, you are standing at the doorway to better things. Don't be afraid to take an entry level job in a company that promotes from within.

He says he has a 150 IQ but doesn't know how to be an entrepreneur when almost everyone else who is an entrepreneur has an IQ below 150. Can he really not figure it out, or won't he?

1. Create product or services people (lots of people) want.
2. Raise money to manufacture, market and sell product.
......
3. Success!

There you go.

Much Easier said than done ....Lolz ...but I get the idea your trying to express.. but , it is also a Neuro Diverse
site here. And all the differing variations , And all the drawbacks that might come with that.
And when he wrote about just recieving money for all his life .Caused me to pause . But When I saw that? Caused me to look @little further.. And when someone is lamenting about being" Broke " . Thought perhaps it sounded like someone venting .. And since it is a public website. I decided yo see it from that angle.
But it could be construed as sounding Lazy ? 8O . But nit knowing this persons physical limitations or psyche stuff , might be involved, given the wording presented here.?

If I wanted to devote my life to making millions I’d do it by making mobile apps.

You don’t have to change the world with your first app, just make a small app that interests you.
As you work, you’ll get ideas for new apps.
Keep making apps with your new ideas.
If you’re lucky, eventually you’ll make one that’s a viral hit, and then you’ll be rich.

But personally I’m happy being just being employed and making a reasonable salary, working for myself would be too unfulfilling and lonely for me.

So, in other words you're full of it. If it were that easy, everybody would be doing it. There are a lot of other factors involved here. This is that old South Park joke with the missing, and generally crucial step being a bunch of things to work out later followed by profit.

There are a lot of smart broke people out there, and if there's a social communications disorder involved, it makes things a lot more complicated.

As many said, high IQ doesn't mean you are going to be rich. What's more, if you read stories of success, you'll quickly find a constant... LUCK. It takes courage, some form of initial investment, social skills or a business partner that can take care of it, perseverance, luck, finding the opportunities, being openminded, accepting you are notwalways in the right and even if you are... Sometimes you have to give to somebody else.

You might be top 0.5% in IQ, but... How many millions of people is that world wide? Do you think they all can be rich? Answer is no

I think you should put your skill to use, but don't think you are starting a company and go. Instead, gain experience, get into a job somewhere, learn how thinks work, change jobs ifmyou don't like it, invest what you earn in your own company, or trading, or in education or whatever floats your boat. But start somewehere and start putting stuff in your asset bag, be it money, experience, truly finding out what you are good at... And what you suck at. Get a clear picture and draw a path.

In other words, what they tell airplane pilots:
"In case of an emergency, plane going down, try the standard. If it doesn't work, try something else. If still no luck, try ANYTHING else till something works or you die, but TRY"
