I think it's very cute! It reminds me of our cat Lucky, who we had to put down a few weeks ago. He always had a goofy innocent look. I look for art that looks like my cats to put up after their passing. Are you anywhere near the US midwest?

I'm sorry. I know that can be very difficult to deal with.

Makes me think of an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants called "Out of the Picture" where Squidward tried to sell his paintings but NOBODY wanted one!

I'm a 2 hour drive from the nation's capital. No.

I composed the painting on the computer first, with the flower pot, etc. The cat is modeled after a version of this picture (don't remember from which source and the exact cropping of it):

I colored it like my first cat, a gray tabby. It isn't a painting of him, the proportions aren't quite right for it to be him.

You want to try your hand at painting your cats? Something I learned about acrylic myself is as long as it's wet you can keep adding water and working it indefinitely. As soon as it sets it is permanent, and adding water will do nothing to it.

We think alike.

That's a thought. I guess I didn't want the meaning of it to get lost.
