I probably always liked pink and only liked it more as a I grew up. I respect a guy bold enough to wear pink. Women typically look good in pink. Cherry blossoms are very pretty. I enjoyed Princess Peach Showtime way more than I expected too. Being a fan of Asian content has seemingly influenced me as far as pink is concerned.

You make a very good point. I had a friend long ago who liked wearing lighter shades of pink. But on her it didn't look very nice as she had a lot of pink tones in her skin. Once she got her hair dyed light pink which didn't suit her as her face was light pink. I suggested hot pink as soon as possible and darker clothes. She had a very strong personality and my suggestions were probably one of the reasons we're not friends now.

That's a point. Personally I'm more of a beige. The pink tones in my skin are usually fairly subtle. I've been told I should wear rose gold or coral pink more often.

The only colours that I look absolutely terrible in are bright yellow or lime green. Makes me look washed out.

I look nice in more golden brown or brassy colours though.

Yellow and lime green don't do me any favours either. Since I'm a redhead, pink , orange and red don't suit me. I stick to earthy colours, grey and black.

I have no idea what my complexion would be called, but I'm a redhead (auburn) and I rock dark blue or mossy green tones.

I don't do soft pink because I don't like it on me but I have a bright pink tshirt which surprisingly isn't too bad.

Most of the time I'm in black, but my formalwear is usually copper or something champagne-ish.

I'm a dark blonde who keeps getting darker each year. I suspect that my hair is gradually fading into a similar brown as my eyes.

I also hate strawberries. Why everyone HAS to have strawberry flavored things is beyond my understanding - especially when you can go through a whole supermarket and not find anything cherry flavored, except maybe actual cherries when they are in season.

I like darker colors - red, blue, green. And don't get me started on the politics of that fake color "indigo" - including that is as political as the McCarthyists throwing "under God" in the Pledge.

Cherry flavored cough drops, cough syrup, soda, suckers/lifesavers, Koolaid, popsickles.

Two points about colors.

First, anyone else here utterly fascinated by the concept of a color we've never seen? When people describe their NDE's, they often say they saw colors they've never seen before. I don't mean color combos, but an actual color. Yet I can't conceive of any other color than what I've ever seen, including hundreds of variations of samples at a paint shop.

Secondary to that, imagine there's a planet where humanoids have never seen, for instance, the color blue. Their sky is yellow/orange, and blue does not occur in nature. Imagine them then coming HERE and seeing blue. What must that experience be like?

And No. 2, I hate when people (always a woman, actually), post on Instagram or TikTok, to the creator, "Red is your color," or "Blue is your color," or whatever solid color dress they're wearing.

If a woman looks good in a given color, she'll look good in ANY color. Jeez. These fans don't realize that if their idol was wearing a purple dress, they'd say "Purple is your color." If she was wearing an orange dress, they'd think orange was her color, and so on and so forth, regardless of the color, because they are so brainwashed by the influencer.

These comments are often directed towards women who do NOT have traditional beauty, which makes the comment even MORE ridiculous.

What's actually looking good is the color of the FABRIC. That red dress, that blue, yellow, orange, purple, pink or green dress would have just as amazing a color if it were freaking draped on an old rocking chair.

I've seen posts where the influencer has worn every color dress,
and every comment section someone says, "(Fill in the blank) is your color." Just ridiculous. So this means EVERY color is that influencer's color????

I'll bet 100 percent of the women who make these comments are NTs.

I'm a middle aged male who adopted a liking for pink. It started when I applied for a debit card and was given an option on which color it would be. I figured white could get too dirty, and didn't like the few other options for various reasons. Pink was the least problematic.

Then I had to get a new water bottle for sports, and I bought a pink one by coincidence.

After buying a third pink item, I noticed, and thought it would be fun to buy another item in pink.

Next thing you know I bought pink versions of the rest of my sport gear. Others in my team nicknamed me 'Pink Panther', so I decided it might as well become an in-club identifier.

Now I have a few pink shirts, and some odd items. I like other colors, but pink has become a thing.

My older son loves to wear pink socks, and often wears a pink hoodie.
I don't think my daughter owns any pink.

That's a good question.
I'll ask her.

I have a hard time seeing the color pink due to my color blindness. I do not hate pink, it is just that I often cannot see it. It causes problems for me in doing titrations with certain indicators that give that particular color at the end point.

I like the color pink alright, but I personally don’t hate any color. In fact, one of my special interests, MLP, has many characters who are pink or have some shade of pink on them.

There's pink and there's pink.

I like fuschia and magenta, cherry blossom is beautiful until it gets towards the petal edges.
Bubblegum is a pretty colour, but what I ought to like most, I don't... "bb7777"
(Go on...look up a pantone chart :D )

Growing up in the 70s, mum clad me in a repulsive selection of earthy tones and orange/yellows. With the exception of my bike jacket, band T-shirts and patched pants, I have always allowed my partner de jour to dress me. Since I'm attracted to punk women, that's where my wardrobe ended up until I moved to the farm (well...I wore a suit for my IT job). Nobody has ever bought me pink..(but I've lots of purple since violet is my fave colour)
